Chris Hemsworth is not sure if he will be gaining 24-inch pythons for the Hulk Hogan biopic at all, brother.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe's Thor spoke to Chris Van Vliet -- a prominent professional wrestling journalist -- to promote his new Netflix movie, Spiderhead. When asked about the status of the planned Hulk Hogan biopic, Hemsworth did not make it seem like either he or director Todd Phillips would be feeling the power of Hulkamania anytime soon. "Todd Phillips is busy doing Joker 2 I believe, and I've been off doing other films," said Hemsworth. "It's all in conversations and in development, and like a lot of things, a lot of things need to come together for it to happen. But I don't have 24-inch pythons... yet."

In 2019, Hemsworth signed on to play the immortal WWE icon for a Netflix-produced biopic titled The Hulkster, which would revolve around Hogan's early days in the wrestling business to his rise to fame in the 1980s. Phillips is attached to direct, with Joker collaborator Scott Silver writing the screenplay. Producing alongside Hemsworth and Phillips are actor Bradley Cooper and former World Championship Wrestling (WCW) president Eric Bischoff.

Hogan (real name Terry Bollea) is one of the most prolific professional wrestlers of all time, and was at the center of the Rock 'n' Wrestling boom of the '80s. During his time in WWE (then known as the WWF), Hogan was well known for his legendary rivalries with the likes of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, King Kong Bundy, Andre the Giant and Ted DiBiase. After leaving the WWF, Hogan signed with WCW in 1994 and set the industry ablaze with his shocking heel turn as the leader of the New World Order. Hogan's recent years have been embroiled in controversy, with perhaps the most notable example being a racist rant that led to his dismissal from the WWE.

Though Hemsworth believes he is not in wrestling shape to don the red and yellow just yet, Hogan himself had endorsed Hemsworth when he was getting into shape for the upcoming Thor: Love and Thunder. "He's already there! H'’s ready BROTHER," said Hogan. "But is he good-looking enough to play me lol, lol, lol."

Hemsworth can be seen next in Spiderhead, coming to Netflix on June 17, and on the big screen in Thor: Love and Thunder on July 8.
