Thor: Love and Thunder star Chris Hemsworth debunks reports that the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe blockbuster is shorter than two hours.

Taking to his personal Instagram to share the recent trailer for Love and Thunder, Hemsworth expressed his excitement for the movie while teasing fans about the film's length. "Here’s a two minute sneak peak into a crazy wild fun adventure that has allllll the love and thunder," wrote Hemsworth. "On July 8th we’ll be giving you a full two hours of this beautiful madness." Previous reports stated that Thor's latest big-screen adventure clocked in at 115 minutes.

While the specific runtime of Love and Thunder is still unknown, many fans believed that the film's various rounds of reshoots would affect the movie's length. The details surrounding these reshoots have not been disclosed by Marvel Studios and Disney but reports suggest that they heavily involved Gorr, the God Butcher (Christian Bale).

Thor: Love and Thunder once again follows Hemsworth's titular god as he embarks on a quest of self-discovery. The film's teaser trailer reveals that the Odinson has become disillusioned with his place in the universe and sets out on a journey to find his true purpose. Along the way, he'll encounter a friendly face from his past: Jane Foster (Natalie Portman), who has adopted the mantle of The Mighty Thor and wields the reforged Mjolnir.

Director Taika Waititi explained how Jane's return will affect Thor, noting that the God of Thunder will be thrown for a loop when he encounters his ex-girlfriend. "She's had a whole other life, and then the love of your life comes back on the scene, and is now dressed like you. It's a real mindfuck for Thor," said Waititi.

Jane Foster isn't the only returning MCU character that will appear in Love and Thunder. The Guardians of the Galaxy will also feature in Thor's latest big-screen adventure. Speaking about reprising his role as Star-Lord, Chris Pratt expressed his enthusiams for working alongside Hemsworth again. "He is like Thor in real life. He’s the sweetest dude. Super-funny. Works so hard," Pratt said. "It was great. I loved every minute of shooting [Thor: Love and Thunder]. I’m so grateful that they brought us along."

Thor: Love and Thunder arrives in theaters on July 9.
