Chris Evans and Chris Hemsworth recently praised a young fan's adorable Marvel Cinematic Universe-inspired cosplay.Evans and Hemsworth, who portray the MCU incarnations of Captain America and Thor, respectively, lauded the cosplay on Twitter. Hemsworth got the ball rolling, retweeting a photo of a junior MCU devotee dressed as Cap and carrying a replica of Thor's hammer, Mjolnir, to celebrate World Down Syndrome Day. The Aussie actor included a shoutout to Evans, asking if he agreed that the young fan (like his hero) was worthy of Mjolnir's power. Evans responded enthusiastically, describing the cosplayer as "100%" worthy and praising the ease with which he hefted Mjolnir.Related: Spider-Man: Pascal, Feige Have Talked to Thomas Haden Church About Sandman's Return

Captain America's ability to wield Mjolnir is one of the biggest reveals in Avengers: Endgame, which also served as Evan's MCU swansong. The star has since indicated that he has no plans to return to the shared universe, as he's worried this would undermine his original stint as Steve Rogers. That said, Evans admitted in a recent interview that he misses playing Captain America, which he described as an enjoyable experience. "You get paid to take care of yourself and be a superhero," he said. "This is like what you [dream of doing] as a kid."

Chris Hemsworth Talks Thor 5

Hemsworth opted not to follow Evans into MCU retirement after Avengers: Endgame, portraying the God of Thunder again in 2022's Thor: Love and Thunder. What's more, an on-screen message at the end of that film announced that Hemsworth will reprise the role in other, forthcoming MCU projects, something that apparently caught him off-guard. Despite this, Hemsworth recently made it clear he'd consider returning for a fifth Thor installment, provided it didn't retread similar ground to its predecessors. "I’ve said this before but when it becomes too familiar, I think there’s a risk in getting lazy then because I know what I’m doing," he said.

It's currently unclear what kind of story Thor 5 would tell, in the event that Marvel Studios moves forward with the sequel. Thor: Love and Thunder's mid-credits scene teases a showdown between Thor and Brett Goldstein's Hercules, however, it's entirely possible that this clash (if it ever happens) could play out in another MCU movie or TV show. Goldstein spoke about how the Thor/Hercules fight might go down in a recent interview, joking that his character could use heroin to defeat the Odinson.

Avengers: Endgame and Thor: Love and Thunder are both currently streaming on Disney+.
