Chris Evans is celebrating Veterans Day in the US by auctioning a trio of prizes to support the charity, Homes For Our Troops, Inc.Evans, who played Captain America 11 times in the Marvel Cinematic Universe before retiring from the role in 2019, is offering fans a chance to bid on a signed Captain America shield and movie poster, as well as a personalized video message. According to the eBay description, the shield is a 24-inch "premium role-play" item with adjustable arm straps. The signed poster is from 2011's Captain America: The First Avenger." The last item in the package is a "personalized one-of-a-kind iPhone video message from Chris Evans."

This is the fourth year for the Homes For Our Troops Veterans Day Celebrity Auction on the e-commerce giant. Participants in this year's auction include actors like Jake Gyllenhaal, Bryan Cranston and Gwyneth Paltrow; comedians Conan O'Brien, Chelsea Handler and Sarah Silverman; athletes Dominique Wilkins, Baker Mayfield and Jimmy Graham; musicians Dave Matthews, Wynonna Judd and Billy Dawson; as well as numerous journalists and politicos.

Items up for auction include signed memorabilia, movie screenings, celebrity-worn clothing, Zoom calls and movie set visits.

Founded in 2004, Homes For Our Troops is a nonprofit organization with the mission, "To build and donate specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post-9/11 veterans to enable them to rebuild their lives." Last year's auction raised over $252,000 for the charity.
