Ahead of the 91st Academy Awards, which will honor 2018's best achievements in film, the prestigious award ceremony has announced its first wave of presenters, including several familiar faces from the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Among the star-studded lineup presenting awards for this year's ceremony are MCU actors Chris Evans, Brie Larson and Tessa Thompson, as announced today by the Academy of Motion Pictures & Sciences. They will be joined by additional famous actors including Daniel Craig, Charlize Theron, Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu.

Of the three MCU actors presenting, Larson had previously won the award for Best Actress for her starring role in 2015's Room, while Black Panther is the first superhero film to be nominated for the ceremony's top award: Best Picture.

Following the loss of original host Kevin Hart over controversial jokes from the comedian's past, the Academy had reportedly considered putting together an on-stage Avengers reunion of sorts to help host the proceedings. With three prominent actors within the MCU announced and more presenters to be revealed later, Evans, Larson and Thompson may be joined by several of their co-stars from Marvel Studios.
