WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Avengers: Endgame, in theaters now.
At the end of Endgame, Steve Rogers travels back in time to return the Infinity Stones to their rightful realities. To the shock of almost everyone present, Cap takes the opportunity to return to the 1940s and live out the life with Peggy Carter that he missed while frozen in ice. He returns as an elderly Steve to pass on his shield. In a behind-the-scenes photo, Evans revealed a bit more of the process to age Steve, which resulted in a picture of bald Captain America.
Evans posted the photo to Twitter. The photo shows Evans wearing much of the prosthetics and make-up used to age his character. The photo is accompanied by a caption that reads, "Halfway there."
Those who have seen the film will know that there's clearly still a lot left to be done in that photo. Most obvious is the fact that he's still missing a wig. Reactions to the photo have been hilariously mixed -- with some urging Evans to hide that picture away forever.
Directed by Joe and Anthony Russo, Avengers: Endgame stars Robert Downey Jr. as Iron Man, Chris Evans as Captain America, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Brie Larson as Captain Marvel, Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Don Cheadle as War Machine, Karen Gillan as Nebula, Danai Gurira as Okoye and Bradley Cooper as Rocket, with Gwyneth Paltrow Pepper Potts, Jon Favreau as Happy Hogan, Benedict Wong as Wong, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie and Josh Brolin as Thanos. The film is in theaters now.
