With Easter just around the corner, you may be in the market for some delicious festive chocolate. If you’re a stickler for tradition, you’ll probably want to stick to chocolate bunnies and eggs. But if you like your candy with a cosmic twist, this solid chocolate Baby Groot might be just the thing to satisfy your sweet tooth.
Laura Miller of U.K.-based Sugar Spice Cakes sculpted the Chocolate Baby Groot and shared a “making of” video to Twitter, asking whether "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" writer/director would eat it. Gunn did one better, and shared it with his 281,000 followers.
Set to the music of Blue Suede’s “Hooked on a Feeling,” from the “Guardians of the Galaxy” soundtrack, the time-lapse video shows Miller sculpting Baby Groot out of milk and white chocolate, starting with his limbs and torso on a wooden armature.
Miller condenses the seven-hour process into a little over two minutes. She also sells an extended 45 minute tutorial on Vimeo that’ll teach you how to make your own chocolate Baby Groot -- though it’s also available for pre-order with an estimated April 18th delivery date -- as well as a number of PDF and video lessons that teach chocolate sculpting and cake-making.
Her delightful Baby Groot is very much in line with the Miller’s other whimsical confections, but it isn’t her first foray in the comic book sculpting. Late last year, she posted a video showing the making of a white chocolate Joker and Harley Quinn sculpture.
CBR reached out to Miller about the weight of Baby Groot -- he is made of three delicious kilograms of chocolate, which is just over six-and-a-half pounds.

“Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” is written and directed by James Gunn, and stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Bradley Cooper, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff and Kurt Russell. The film releases on May 5.
