Kick-Ass' Chloë Grace Moretz Boards Max Landis' Shadow in the Cloud

Actor Chloë Grace Moretz has signed on to appear in the action horror film Shadow in the Cloud, directed by My Wedding and Other Secrets director Roseanne Liang based on a screenplay by Bright screenwriter Max Landis.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Moretz will play Captain Maude Garnder, who boards a B-17 Flying Fortress plane with a black radio bag containing confidential content with orders that authorize her transport. As she deals with comments and unprofessional behavior from her all-male crew, a series of strange occurrences on the ship lead to the conclusion that something sinister is lurking in the shadows of the vessel. Soon, Gardner and her crew are caught between an oncoming Japanese ambush on one end and an evil prowling within the plane. She'll have to muster the courage to push past her fears and limits in order to protect her rambunctious crew and her ominous cargo.
