One of the biggest loose ends in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Baron Mordo and his whereabouts after the events of 2016's Doctor Strange. In a new interview, actor Chiwetel Ejiofor comments on Mordo's fate following the devastating snap by Thanos at the end of Avengers: Infinity War.While promoting his latest film, The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind, at Sundance Film Festival, Ejiofor was asked if his MCU character survived the events of Infinity War and would appear in Avengers: Endgame.RELATED: Hulk's Return in Endgame Might Not Be What You Think

"We are going to have to watch the movie when it comes out," laughed Ejiofor in an interview with MTV, continuing to downplay Mordo's status following the cataclysmic snap.

The character was last seen in the post-credits scene to Doctor Strange, vowing to eradicate the world of sorcerers after their perceived misuse of magic over the course of the film. With Stephen Strange among those lost to Thanos' actions in the film, the seat of Sorcerer Supreme is vacant, potentially leaving the MCU's world of magic vulnerable to Mordo in the interim.
