Chip Zdarsky’s The All-Nighter, a Comixology Originals series, returns this month with more stories of vampires who are secretly moonlighting as superheroes.

CBR has an exclusive preview of The All-Nighter #6, which comes from writer Chip Zdarsky, artist Jason Loo, colorist Paris Alleyne, letterer Aditya Bidikar and editor Allison O’Toole. The issue marks the start of a new season in The All-Nighter following the first five issues of the series, which initially launched in 2021. The synopsis for The All-Nighter #6 reads, "With Ian missing and Cynthia running the diner, tensions are running high. Alex and Joy are stuck covering shifts when they’d rather be out fighting bad guys. To make things worse, people start disappearing just as a new superhero team arrives in town—could the two be related?"

"I’m thrilled to be continuing this story with Jason!" Zdarsky said of the return of The All-Nighter. "He’s become quite popular these days and has more than once said, 'who are you again' when I email him, so the fact that he’s delivering the best work of his career on volume two of The All-Nighter is fantastic! I think every comic book reader in the world should be reading this book, that’s just my humble opinion!"

Loo, who also previously worked with Zdarsky on Comixology's Eisner award-winning Afterlift, agreed, "YEAH!!! Some of my best work IS in this volume! Chip and I are having a huge blast as we dive deeper into The All-Nighter series with our versions of the classic monsters and I think readers are going to love this series even more. Also, working with the ORIGINAL Bat-Man has been a dream come true!"

The All-Nighter is largely set in a vampire-run diner only open from sunset to sunrise. After becoming bored with their somewhat mundane lives, a group of undead bloodsuckers decides to try and blend into human society. Becoming inspired by superhero movies, the vampires proceed to act as masked vigilantes and fight for justice in their own, unique way.

The All-Nighter publishes on Comixology Originals, the exclusive digital content line of Comixology. Dark Horse Comics released a print collection of the first season of The All-Nighter in March, which is now available for purchase. An All-Nighter original series is also currently in the works from Amazon Studios and executive producer Jordan Feiner. The series does not yet have a release date.

The All-Nighter #6 publishes May 17 from Comixology Originals.
