From 1989 to 1990 Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers endured many adventures and took down tons of criminals while giving fans a good laugh all at the same time. Chip and Dale quickly grew into fan favorites all over the world and even became character encounters at Disney World and gained their own attractions at Disneyland.
Yet with all of that popularity, Rescue Rangers was unfortunately canceled in 1990. Thankfully Disney continued to air reruns on their Toon Disney Channel until 2008, giving new generations a chance to love them and witness the same favorite episodes that made generations before them fall in love too.
10 Monterey Jack's Long Lost Love Returns In "Love Is A Many Splintered Thing" (7.6)
While out on a mission to stop a group of robbers, Monterey Jack becomes captivated by a sweet scent that appears out of nowhere. Once the Rescue Rangers arrive back home, Monterey decides to tell them a story of a woman named Desiree D'Allure who he had met during a mission, and how he loved her from the moment he "smelled" her. Unexpectedly, Desiree storms through the house, confessing her love to Monterey and even tries to convince the other Rescue Rangers that she is on their side by offering up valuable information on a group of criminals. Yet Chip is not convinced by Desiree and is sure she is using Monterey for her own needs.
9 "Chipwrecked Shipmunks" Takes The Rescue Rangers On A Treasure Hunt (7.8)
While out on the water in the Ranger Boat, the Rescue Rangers are attacked by a swordfish, destroying their boat and leaving them stranded on an island. With word of a hurricane headed straight toward the island, Gadget and Chip get straight to work to find a way off while Monterey and Dale are less helpful.
While Monterey and Dale are out playing around and having their little adventures, they come across a crocodile-shaped cave. Driven by curiosity, they venture in and find a mountain of pirate treasure, making the hurricane only one of the Ranger's problems.
8 "Rescue Rangers To The Rescue: Part 1" Brings Back The Most Vicious Crime Lord (7.8)
This five-episode arc starts off with Chip and Dale working alongside their friend Plato the Police Dog and his master Donald Drake to help catch a man who stole the Clutchcoin ruby necklace. Once the gang has the criminal trapped in a lumberyard warehouse, Chip and Dale do what they do best and distract the criminal, causing him to lose the ruby. Unfortunately, despite all of their efforts, the criminal gets away and reveals that he has been working for Aldrin Klordan, a known crime lord who was presumed dead just over a year ago and is out to make Donald Drake's life extremely difficult.
7 "Rescue Rangers To The Rescue: Part 4" Sees The Rescue Rangers Are On A Mission To Save Donald Drake (7.8)
Part four of the five-part arc begins with the Rescue Rangers being rescued by Gadget after an attack by Aldrin Klordane's cat, Fat Cat. After locating the infamous professor Nimul and Fat Cat, the Rescue Rangers snatch up the ruby and head to the police station in hopes of getting Donald Drake and Plato released from jail. What the Rescue Rangers are not prepared for is for Aldrin to kidnap Drake and frame him for yet another crime; escaping from jail. Now the gang must find Drake and all while keeping Nimul and Fat Cat's hands off of the ruby.
6 "Rescue Rangers To The Rescue: Part 5" Sees The End Of Aldrin Klordane's Evil Plan (7.8)
The final part of the five-part arc begins with the crime lord Aldrin Klordane describing his evil plan to trigger an earthquake using ice from Glacier Bay and Jell-O mix placed under the Global Gold Reserve. Thankfully the Rescue Rangers arrive in time to stop the man-made earthquake and face Fat Cat once again while Klordane escapes by train.
Once the gang has caught up with Klordane, they struggle to take him down and stop the train until their pal Plato the Police Dog arrives using his famous Crime Bite and putting an end to the devious Aldrin Klordane.
5 Stopping Criminals And Keeping Chip Safe In "Seer No Evil" (7.9)
As the Rescue Rangers are out enjoying a carnival, Chip comes across a fortune-teller named Cassandra that informs him that he will lose his life "before the next sun rises." Upon leaving Cassandra, the Rescue Rangers soon see that all the predictions that were told have come true, but Chip is still not convinced.
After hanging around the carnival, the gang learns that a crook working there is using his monkey to hide in prizes that customers win to rob their homes. The Rescue Rangers now must put a stop to this criminal activity as well as keep Chip away from danger.
4 "The Case Of The Cola Cult" Puts The Rescue Rangers In A Sticky Situation (7.9)
While the Rescue Rangers are out test-driving the Ranger Mobile, they suddenly end up crashing into the Coo Koo Cola Company warehouse where they are introduced to the leader of the Cola Cult, a mouse named Pop Top. After a failed attempt at trying to convince the Rangers to join the cult, the gang leaves feeling uneasy about the whole experience. Once the Rangers are home, they are informed by a member of the cult who has proof of strange activity going on from the inside and hopes the Rangers will look into it. In an instant, the informer disappears as if he never existed in the first place and the Rangers find a cola top embedded in their door, leaving them no choice but to take on this mission.
3 "Double 'O Chipmunk" When Playing Pretend Can Go Very Wrong (8.0)
After watching their favorite spy show, Dale and Zipper decided to try out their own secret spy skills, but unbeknownst to them, their pretend games will lead them to actual criminal activity. While out on a fake mission set up by Gadget, Dale and Zipper are on their way to transport microfilm to an "important contact." As Dale is distracted with his map, he accidentally kicks the microfilm down into the sewer where three mice working for "the greatest spy in the world" happen to be also transporting microfilm of their own, but with actual important information on it. After accidentally mixing up the microfilms with the mice, the Rescue Rangers now must face an actual spy.
2 "Short Order Crooks" Monterey's Stomach Gets Him Into Trouble (8.0)
When Monterey Jack and Zipper head to a closed diner to use the kitchen, they witness two criminals breaking in and assume they're there to rob the place. When the criminals get caught by the owner, Ma, they convince her that she won a vacation and that she should leave, giving them more time to not rob the diner but to use it to tunnel into the bank next door.
After running into the two criminals again the next day, Monterey gets trapped inside dough and is about to be made into donuts. Zipper then runs to the Rescue Rangers for help and after saving Monterey they aim to take down those pesky criminals.
1 "Rescue Rangers To The Rescue: Part 3" Shows How Gadget Joined The Team (8.0)
After trapping the Rescue Rangers onto a ship, Fat Cat takes the ruby to his master, Aldrin Klordane. The Rangers manage to catch up to them as the criminals are boarding their copter and headed for Glacier Bay, but with no mode of transportation, the gang turns to Monterey to find a way there. Monterey takes Chip and Dale to his long-time friend Geegaw but is instead welcomed by his daughter Gadget. With Gadget's brilliant mind and mechanical skills, she not only gets them to Glacier Bay but also becomes an important member of the Rescue Rangers.
