Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is getting a Christmas special. Or is that Solstice?
The episode was announced in a pair of tweets, one from the show's official account, and the other from series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa. "Praise Satan! I mean, Praise Santa,” he joked about the special, which arrives Dec. 14 on the streaming service.
The 10-episode first season was released last month, taking the residents of Greendale from just before Halloween to sometime past Thanksgiving. Based on the Archie Comics series by Augirre-Sacasa and artist Robert Hack, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina finds Sabrina Spellman (Kiernan Shipka) forced on her 16th birthday to choose between her mortal life and devoting herself to the service of the Dark Lord.

Here's the official synopsis for the Christmas special:
In the upcoming episode, the Church of Night, like all covens, celebrates the Winter Solstice –the longest night of the year–when families gather around the Yule Fire to sing pagan carols and tell ghost stories. But the holidays are also a time for guests and visitors–both welcome and unwelcome– you never know what might come down the chimney…
Streaming now on Netflix, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman and Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood. The Christmas special, "A Midwinter's Tale," will be released Dec. 14.
