Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina is going to return sometime soon like a bat out of... well, you know. However, fans shouldn't get their hopes up of seeing the teenage witch in time for the Halloween season.

According to The Wrap, series creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa warned during the TCA tour that, while a third season is on its way, it's a little unclear when it will come out. "I don’t actually know," he said. "I don’t think we’d be ready for Halloween. I have no idea, not a clue."

"We are writing Episode 8, we are starting to shoot Episode 6, so we’re nearing the halfway mark," he added. "And that’s been going great, I’m really proud of those episodes, they’re really, really fun."

During the tour, Aguirre-Sacasa also discussed the possibility of a crossover between Riverdale and Sabrina, given that he's the showrunner on the adaptations of both Archie Comics-originated properties. He admitted it's not impossible, but it's more likely another character from the comics will be making an appearance first:

"Listen, I’m so open for it and it feels like we have [conversations] about it all the time..." he said. "I still would love for it to happen. It’s much more likely [the show will have a crossover with the upcoming Katy Keene] just because it’s on the same network and we’re sharing cast."
