It's time to get ready for Christmas with an occult twist, because Netflix has officially released a trailer for the upcoming Chilling Adventures of Sabrina holiday special, titled "A Midwinter's Tale."

Set against the classic Christmas song "Sleigh Ride," this trailer provides a look at the town of Greendale during the winter, as well as highlights the differences between the end of year festivities celebrated by the mortal world and the witch world.

While the residents of Greendale prepare to celebrate their own holiday season, Sabrina and her magical friends can be seen making the appropriate arrangements to celebrate the Winter Solstice. That being said, she also appears to be popping in to see just how her friends from Baxter High are doing.

It's unclear exactly how much the events of this special will impact the rest of the series, but the trailer does hint at Sabrina maintaining her friendships in the mortal world, as well as patching things up with her estranged boyfriend Harvey Kinkle via holiday gift-giving.

Of course, what would a Chilling Adventures of Sabrina episode be without some evil supernatural force threatening to wreak havoc on Sabrina and company?

The trailer features several winter-themed ghosts and demons that appear bound and determined to make the holiday season even more stressful than it already is. And it looks like dealing with them is going to take just a bit more than Auntie Zee's knowledge of Pagan winter rituals.

It's like cousin Ambrose says, "Christmas is the best time for ghost stories."

Streaming now on Netflix, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Season 1 stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Ross Lynch as Harvey Kinkle, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman and Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood. The Christmas special, "A Midwinter's Tale," will be released on Dec. 14. Season 2 will premiere on April 5, 2019.
