Netflix's Chilling Adventures of Sabrina has cast its Father Blackwood, tabbing British actor Richard Coyle to portray the role. Coyle is best known for the Amazon series The Collection and the Hulu series Hard Son.
According to Deadline, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Father Blackwood will be the High Priest of the Church of Night and the Dean of the Academy of the Unseen Arts. His character is reported to be ruthless and ambitious, concealing frightening schemes that will clash directly with Sabrina and the rest of the coven.

The Riverdale spinoff will see Sabrina struggle to come to grips with being half-witch and half-mortal, and she’ll have to protect her friends, family and school friends from the evil forces that are all around her. Coyle is the latest to join a cast that is rapidly growing, with Lord of the Rings' Miranda Otto and Wonder Woman's Lucy Davis also climbing on board in the past week.
Debuting this year on Netflix, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina stars Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, Michelle Gomez as Mary Wardwell/Madam Satan, Jaz Sinclair as Rosalind Walker, Chance Perdomo as Ambrose Spellman, Lucy Davis as Hilda Spellman, Miranda Otto as Zelda Spellman and Richard Coyle as Father Blackwood. Fans are still eagerly awaiting casting information for Sabrina’s boyfriend Harvey Kinkle.
