Most longtime fans know the "Star Wars" that debuted in 1977 was vastly different from what George Lucas began writing some four years earlier, with the movie going through four drafts before the filmmaker arrived at a final script. Franchise veteran Peter Mayhew is providing a reminder of that evolution, as he's begun tweeting pages each day from the script he received in 1976, leading up to "a big announcement."

It's interesting to note that as late as the revised fourth draft, dated March 14, 1976, "Star Wars" was still called "The Star Wars: The Adventures of Luke Starkiller as taken from the 'Journal of the Whills'" (suddenly, "The Phantom Menace" doesn't sound so silly). The lengthy title refers to the plot device Lucas dreamed up early on to connect the events of "Star Wars" to the real world.
