Advertising Age has a first look at one of General Motors' eight 30-second ads that will air during Sunday's Super Bowl XLV telecast on Fox: It's a (slightly) humorous tie-in to Transformers: Dark of the Moon featuring Bumblebee and a local Chevy-dealership commercial gone wrong.

In addition, a new trailer for the Michael Bay sequel will debut during the broadcast, alongside spots for such movies as Captain America: The First Avenger, Thor, Super 8, Cowboys & Aliens, Priest, Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides, Battle: Los Angeles, Rango, The Eagle and Kung Fu Panda 2.

Ad rates for the game, the most-watched television event of the year, run about $3 million for a 30-second spot.

Here’s the official synopsis of Transformers: Dark of the Moon:

The Autobots Bumblebee, Ratchet, Ironhide and Sideswipe led by Optimus Prime, are back in action, taking on the evil Decepticons, who are determined to avenge their defeat in 2009′s Transformers Revenge of the Fallen. In this new movie, the Autobots and Decepticons become involved in a perilous space race between the U.S. and Russia, and once again human Sam Witwicky has to come to the aid of his robot friends. There’s new characters too, including a new villain in the form of Shockwave, a longtime Transformers character who rules Cybertron while the Autobots and Decepticons battle it out on Earth.

The movie, which stars Shia LeBeouf, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, Josh Duhamel, John Malkovich and John Turturro, opens in 3D on July 1.
