Charmed Season 2 Premiere Introduces a Mysterious New Villain

The premiere episode of Charmed Season 2, entitled “Safe Space,” will see the debut of a mysterious new villain on the series.

Following the loss of the Elders, Mel, Maggie and Macy must shoulder their duties. The episode initially focuses on Maggie trying to celebrate her birthday with a party, but Mel finds herself far too busy with her new responsibilities and obligations to partake. The synopsis promises that the morning after, while cleaning up after the party, Macy has an announcement that shocks her sisters.

"Safe Space" will see a mysterious hooded stranger attack the sisters, who are able to escape through a portal, while Harry has an “unnerving encounter” with their unknown assailant. Mel, Maggie and Macy arrive in a secret location where Macy nurses a severe wound and Maggie meets a handsome stranger. While there, they are able to learn more about The Elders and what their new roles demand of them, forcing them to decide if they are ultimately prepared for the responsibility.

Following the devastating loss of The Elders, Mel (Melonie Diaz), Maggie (Sarah Jeffery) and Macy (Madeleine Mantock) take over their duties. Maggie takes time to celebrate her birthday with a big bash, but Mel finds herself too preoccupied with their new responsibilities to join in the fun. As the girls clean up the following morning, Macy shocks her sisters with an announcement. A mysterious hooded foe attacks The Charmed Ones who escape through a portal while Harry (Rupert Evans) has an unnerving encounter with the villain.

The girls land in a secret location where they uncover more about the mystical world of The Elders...and community workspaces. Macy nurses a serious wound and Maggie meets a handsome stranger (Jordan Donica.) The Charmed Ones quickly become aware of the gravity of their new roles and must decide if they are truly prepared for the responsibility.

“Safe Space” is directed by Stuart Gillard and was written by Liz Kruger and Craig Shapiro. Charmed, starring Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Rupert Evans, Valerie Cruz, Ser’Darius Blain, and Ellen Tamaki, returns with all-new episodes Friday, Oct. 11 at 8 pm ET/PT.
