WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Charmed Season 3, Episode 14, "Perfecti is the Enemy of the Good," which aired Friday on The CW.

In Charmed's latest episode, Mel is attacked by the Perfecti's harmonic wails. The ancient pair unleash a kind of magical time-bomb to go off in Mel's head unless The Charmed Ones surrender and enter The Tomb of Chaos. In order to slow down the Perfecti's spell, Macy and Maggie use a sleeping beauty potion to put Mel into a magical coma. While the sleeping spell gives the pair more time to figure out how to defeat the Perfecti and save Mel, the middle sister accepts a fate in her dream state that will change The Charmed Ones' lives forever.

As Maggie and Macy hatch a plan to capture the Perfecti, Mel awakes to a dream state that shows her in a dark, empty house, searching for a sign of someone or something. Eventually, she stumbles on a fireplace and rocking chair and sits. During her coma, she can hear her girlfriend, Ruby, calling her name, and she senses that her time might be running out. The sleeping beauty spell not only lowered her blood pressure, but also her body temperature. The longer she stays asleep, the higher the risk is that she'll not be able to wake up.

However, before Mel can think too much about her own mortality, she senses that someone else is in her coma. Mel stumbles upon a hooded figure who reveals herself to be Future-Mel and tells her that she found a way to travel from the future to speak with her now. While Mel remains baffled as to how Future-Mel could even be in her coma, Future-Mel admits that Mel will eventually regain her time-based magical powers; however, she is unable to say when or how this will happen without ruining her future.

Although Future-Mel is adamant about not telling Mel too much about her future timeline, she reveals she needs a favor from her past self. The future is extremely dangerous, so she asks Mel to help her with something vital that will protect them all. Off-screen, Mel accepts the favor, and when she eventually awakens from her coma, the audience finds out exactly what Future-Mel needed -- someone to carry her pregnancy to term.

After the Perfecti are locked into the Tomb of Chaos, Mel awakens safely and reveals to her sisters that she's fairly far along with a pregnancy. Both sisters are shocked speechless as Mel explains that she's committed to raising this child safely and protecting it. It's unclear who is the sperm donor (considering Mel is gay) of this child. While the audience does see Mel about to tell Ruby about her baby, we don't see how Ruby reacts to this huge change in their lives, so it's unknown if she will or won't be on board to co-parent a child. The pair had only just said "I love you," so a baby might be too big and too soon of a commitment.

Charmed stars Sarah Jeffery, Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, Rupert Evans, Jordan Donica, Poppy Drayton, Mareya Salazar and JJ Hawkins. New episodes air Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
