The CW's Charmed reboot is set to add Eric Balfour, previously of Haven, as a recurring character later this season and a possible love interest for one of the Charmed ones.

Balfour previously played Duke Crocker on the Sci-Fi series Haven, which, much like Hilltown in the new Charmed,  is also set in a small town plagued by supernatural problems. According to Deadline, Balfour's character Julian is "a handsome, brilliant man with an unexpected boldness who forms a bond with one of the sisters."

The newest version of Charmed features three sisters, Maci, Maggie and Mel, who discover they are witches after their mother dies, causing the spell that's been binding their powers to expire. They soon become known to the supernatural world as "the Charmed ones," and they are tasked with fighting demons in their college town and around the world. The sister dynamic of the original series has been reimagined with the addition of a half-sister, Maci, whom Mel and Maggie don't meet until they are adults. The show is currently in its second season on The CW.

Charmed, starring Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, Sarah Jeffery, Rupert Evans, Valerie Cruz, Ser’Darius Blain and Ellen Tamaki, airs Fridays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on The CW.
