Academy Award winning actress Charlize Theron has joined the cast of the upcoming Russo Brothers-penned adaptation "The Gray Man" from Sony Pictures Entertainment and Columbia Pictures, according to The Tracking Board.

Based on the novel by Mark Greaney, "The Gray Man" follows operative Court Gentry, a.k.a The Gray Man, named so for his ability to accomplish the impossible before disappearing. When government assassins target his family, Gentry must race against time to save his daughters.

Theron has joined in the role of the lead female and producers are still searching for the male lead, which Tracking Board reports that Brad Pitt has been circling.
