It looks as though the upcoming Charlie's Angels reboot will have a veteran Starfleet officer joining it's ranks, as Patrick Stewart, best known for his roles as Captain Jean-Luc Picard on Star Trek: The Next Generation and Professor Xavier in the X-Men film franchise, has been cast to play Charlie's right-hand man, Bosley, in the film.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, Stewart will be joining actresses Kristen Stewart, Naomi Scott and Ella Balinska, who will play the eponymous trio, under the direction of Elizabeth Banks. However, in a strange twist on the character, Stewart will only play one of several people named Bosley, one of whom will be played by Banks herself, who all work for the mysterious Charlie Townsend, which may imply that there's more to this version of Charlie than it seems.

The film will also update the concept of the original series and movie franchise, revamping the Townsend Agency from a Los Angeles-based detective agency to an security and intelligence organization that has branches across the globe, as well as turning the Angels into legacy heroes.
