If any Sons of Anarchy fans were waiting for a cast reunion or series reboot, series star Charlie Hunnam crushed that dream speaking on why he would never return to the landmark FX drama.

The actor spoke with People about his reasons for not wanting to play Jax Teller again. "I would never, ever put that cut back on," he told the publication. "I would never put his rings back on. Not even for Halloween."

Hunnam went on to explain the connection between him and his most famous role. "It was a very deep experience," the actor said. "I lived with that character inside me for years, like, in a very real way. In a way that manifested in ways that I could never even [have] imagined." He even brought up Teller's death in the series finale by adding, "He's dead now. So there would be no ever bringing him back...When he died, he died."

Hunnam played the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club vice president-turned-president during the biker crime drama's seven-season run. He received multiple Critics' Choice TV Award and Satellite Award nominations for his role in the series.

Since the series ended, the actor has pursued a film career, starring in fares such as The Lost City of Z, King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and The Gentlemen. Hunnam is currently starring in the boxing drama Jungleland.
