Daredevil star Charlie Cox recently thanked fans for launching the #SaveDaredevil campaign following the series cancellation. He stressed how much their work means to him and everyone who contributed to the series.

"The only thing is I'd just like to say thank you to all those guys," Cox told ComicBook.com. "I don't know if it's going to do anything, but it means a lot to a lot of people, and it certainly means a lot to me."

He also recalled his time starring in Broadway show Betrayal alongside Avengers' Tom Hiddleston. He shared how they would "joke about how many 'Save Daredevil' T-shirts that would be in the audience each night... the curtain would go up and I'd see a row of these red T-shirts, that say 'Save Daredevil.' I have to speak in the first scene, I have the first lines, so, I see these people come, these shirts appearing, and I'd suddenly be like, like trying not to laugh, 'cause it meant the world to me, and I know it means the world to everyone involved in that show."

Cox starred in Netflix's Daredevil as the title character, bringing both Matt Murdock and his alter ego to life on the streaming service. When the show was cancelled after its third season, fans took to social media to stress their love for the show and urged Netflix to reconsider the cancellation. At the time of writing, the #SaveDaredevil petition boasts over 350,000 signatures.
