Daredevil: Born Again star Charlie Cox was recently spotted in New York City ahead of the start of production on the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe series.

In a video shared on TikTok by user @rainbowunicornbs, Cox can be seen in a Blue Bottle Coffee outlet in New York City, confirming that the actor has arrived to begin production on Daredevil: Born Again. It had been previously reported that filming on the Disney+ series' 18-episode first season would begin in February 2023 under the working title "Out the Kitchen" and the production company title "Blind Faith Productions, LLC." Production on the Marvel Studios project is currently expected to last until the year's end in December.

Daredevil: Born Again was officially announced by Marvel Studios in July 2022, with Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio returning as Matt Murdock/Daredevil and Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, respectively, from Netflix's Daredevil series, which was also shot in New York during its three-season run. While Born Again will be a spiritual successor to the Netflix iteration, the upcoming series is expected to tell a new story that places its characters firmly within the MCU. However, Cox has confirmed that his portrayal of the blind lawyer-turned-vigilante will remain the same, noting, "I don’t think it’s a different character. I just think it’s maybe a different period of his life."

Daredevil: Born Again Will Surprise Fans

With Netflix's Daredevil series remaining a favorite among the MCU fandom, expectations are high for the Marvel Studios' upcoming take on The Man Without Fear. Fortunately for fans, D'Onofrio has teased that they will be pleasantly surprised with Born Again. "It's going to be very very cool. Very different than the Netflix show which as we know was amazing," he stated. "Yet this is brand new and really smart. We are going to surprise everyone with it." At the time of writing, plot details for Daredevil: Born Again remain under wraps, although the project is expected to debut during Phase 5 of the MCU, which recently kicked off this February with Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania.

Instead, Born Again's main and supporting cast will be composed mostly of MCU newcomers, with Michael Gandolfini, Margarita Levieva, Sandrine Holt and Nikki M. James among the actors currently set to appear in the upcoming series.
