Charlie Adler's illustrious career took him from the stages of Broadway to the sound booths of LA. While performing in theater and appearing in commercials, he auditioned for My Little Pony: Rescue at Midnight Castle. There he wowed seasoned voice/casting directors, Ginny McSwain and Arlene Thorton. From there, the rest is history.

Adler's been a big part of fans' childhoods through his voiceover work. Giving life to characters such as Paddington Bear, Ed Bighead, and Cow. Nowadays, Adler's been dispensing his wisdom to other prospective actors and voice directing animated series such as Kung Fu Panda: The Paws of Destiny, Wabbit, and Harley Quinn Show.

10 Mr. Whiskers from Brandy and Mr. Whiskers

Mr. Whiskers and Brandy (Kaley Cuoco) were strangers stranded in the middle of the jungle. The series revolved around their escapades while they tried to find a way out and adapt to jungle life. Despite being dim and lacking hygiene, fans thought Mr. Whiskers was hilarious and served as a decent comic foil to Brandy's posh and uptight personality.

While Mr. Whiskers' goofy and oafish tendencies irritated Brandy, they would become close friends and looked out for each other. Funny enough, Adler later directed Cuoco on Harley Quinn Show.

9 M.O.D.O.K. from Marvel's Avengers Assemble

The leader of A.I.M., a self-proclaimed genius, and enemy of Iron Man. M.O.D.O.K. was a ruthless villain whose abilities included manipulating technology, telekinesis, and flight (with the assistance of his chair).

Despite his threatening demeanor, Avengers like Black Widow tended to tease him about his massive head. Adler's performance managed to be hilarious and intimidating.

8 Bev Bighead from Rocko's Modern Life

Rocko's neighbor and wife of Ed Bighead, Bev was welcoming and sincere to Rocko. However, she could be just as abrasive and loud as her spouse (if not more so).

When she returned to the small screen in Rocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, she was accepting of her daughter Rachel and encouraged Ed to not be stuck in his ways. Adler based Bev's voice off playwright and actor Harvey Fierstein. He succeeded Fierstein's role as Arnold Beckoff in the original Broadway run of Torch Song Trilogy.

7 Ed Bighead from Rocko's Modern Life

Ed was a surly and old-fashioned curmudgeon. Series creator Joe Murray based the Bigheads on some unpleasant neighbors he had in the past. Ed disliked Rocko, Filburt, and Heffer and bossed anyone around who he felt was inferior (besides his boss and wife).

Ed's misdeeds often blew up in his face to which he'd reply, "I hate my life." Apart from his mean-spiritedness, Ed sporadically displayed goodwill as he'd sometimes assist Rocko and his friends. Ed had an estranged relationship with his daughter Rachel but by the climax of Static Cling, he made amends and accepted her.

6 Starscream from Transformers Film Franchise

A member of the Decepticons and lieutenant of Megatron. Starscream was a cowardly adversary who envisioned leadership but his plans didn't turn out to his expectations.

Despite his spinelessness, Starscream was one of the more well-known Decepticons. Adler voiced Starscream for three movies. While the movies were quite polarizing, Starscream was arguably one of the better Decepticons, despite playing relatively small parts in the stories.

5 Ickis from Aaahh!!! Real Monsters

Ickis was a neurotic and insecure monster in training. He was the son of an infamous monster and faced immense pressure to live up to his name. Fortunately, with help from his friends Oblina and Krumm, he was able to show his true potential.

As the series flourished and he became more confident, his voice accordingly changed. Fans enjoyed Ickis and were sad when the series ended.

4 Chicken from Cow & Chicken

The son of humans and older brother of Cow, Chicken was a wisecracker who tended to tease his sister and was frequently duped by the series antagonist, the Red Guy.

Despite his bratty behavior, Chicken usually stood up for his sister and even put himself in the line of fire in favor of her well-being. Adler based Chicken's voice on his nine-year-old self.

3 Cow from Cow & Chicken

Cow was a sweet and naive seven-year-old who saw the best in people and stuck to her brother like glue (much to his chagrin). Her creative interests inspired her to write a play titled Ugliest Weenie, which was produced at her school and starred her brother.

While Cow's constantly taunted by Chicken, she always came to his rescue in the form of Supercow, a superhero who spoke Spanish. Adler based Cow's voice on actress Ellen Greene.

2 Red Guy from Cow & Chicken

The Red Guy was a strange and perverted trickster who used disguises to swindle people or ruin their lives. Frequent targets of his were Cow and Chicken. Fans were entertained by Red Guy's dramatic flair and eccentric personality.

While Cow and Chicken have been off the air for years, Adler's continued voicing Red Guy by reading controversial tweets while in character. Many Twitter users found them hilarious.

1 Buster Bunny from Tiny Toons

Initially, it took some convincing to cast Adler as Buster Bunny. Tiny Toons' producers, including Steven Spielberg, weren't sold while series creator Tom Ruegger and casting director Andrea Romano lobbied for him. Ruegger felt he brought great energy to the role.

Buster was Bugs' protege and, similar to his mentor, he was precocious and two-steps ahead. After a fallout, Adler left the series and John Kassir took over the role. Despite this, Adler's portrayal of Buster has been revered by fans.
