With 20th Century Fox's "Gambit" solo film losing its release date this October, Channing Tatum is making plans to add another comic book-based movie to his resume. The "Magic Mike" and "21 Jump Street" star will be suiting up with the Kingsmen for "Kingsman: The Golden Circle."

Tatum joins a slew of actors who are lined up for the film, including Taron Egerton -- who played the lead role of Eggsy in 2015's "Kingsman: The Secret Service" -- "Game of Thrones'" Pedro Pascal, Sir Elton John in an undisclosed role, as well as returning Kingsman Edward Holcroft.

Julianne Moore is also set to star in "Kingsman: The Golden Circle" as the film's main villain with "X-Men's" Halle Berry joining as the head of the CIA. Colin Firth's Harry Hart is also rumored to return, following the releases of a viral poster that read, "Reports of my death have been greatly exaggerated."

Tatum announced his casting in the film by posting a new "Kingsman" poster on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. No word yet as to what role he will play, but the message on the new poster indicates his character will be from the American South, something that shouldn't be too much of a stretch for the Alabama native.

The original "Kingsman" film was directed by Matthew Vaughn, who returns for the sequel, and based on the Marvel Icon comic book series by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.

"Kingsman: The Secret Circle" is scheduled for release June 16, 2017.
