WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Champions: Outlawed #1 by Eve L. Ewing, Simone Di Meo, Federico Blee, & VC's Clayton Cowles, on sale now

Outlawed has seen many of Marvel's most promising new heroes targeted and persecuted against by the government and their newly instituted C.R.A.D.L.E. program, all geared to put an end to teenage heroics -- with some heroes actually agreeing with the program. Some of them have already even been captured by the program and are being held against their will.

Now, we're taking a closer look at which Champions have already been captured by the agents of C.R.A.D.L.E. during the events of Outlawed.

WASP

Nadia Pym was the daughter of Hank Pym and his first wife, Maria Trovaya. However, Maria was kidnapped and eventually killed by Russian agents, with Nadia eventually being raised in the same Red Room that produced the Black Widow. A naturally brilliant engineer, she eventually used stolen Pym Particles to escape from her captors. Making her way to the United States, she discovered she was too late to meet her father (who'd fused with his demented creation Ultron) and instead made a life for herself.

Using stolen pieces from an Ant-Man suit to become the new Wasp, Nadia has made a name for herself within the superhero community in a quick time. She's even gone under the wing of her step-mother Janet Van Dyne, taking her last name and serving as an ally to the Avengers and the Champions. Her technical know-how has been crucial to the Champions, but she's, unfortunately, one of the heroes captured by C.R.A.D.L.E. in their raid against the Champions, being caught while in shrunken form.

BOMBSHELL

Following the events of Ultimatum in the Ultimate Marvel Universe, Lana Baumgartner and her mother Lori became criminals using their mutant ability to create explosions. However, after befriending Peter Parker before his death and becoming an ally to his successor Miles Morales, Bombshell grew into a heroic figure and even joined the Young Ultimates, helping make up for her past mistakes. When Miles helped Molecule Man during Secret Wars, he thanks the young hero by bringing his friends and family into Earth-616's history -- including Bombshell, who remained a friend and ally to Miles.

Bombshell even helped bring down her mother, who'd joined the new incarnation of the Sinister Six and was an enemy of Miles even in Earth-616. Although Bombshell is crucial for the rest of the Champions to escape away from the C.R.A.D.L.E. by creating an exit with her explosive powers, she herself is forced to be left behind -- despite Nova and Spider-Man's efforts and clear desire to rescue her. Bombshell at least understands, telling them to go on without her so there are still free Champions out there.

LOCUST

Fernanda Rodriguez is the latest in a long line of heroes from the west coast of North America, with her family passing down a special armor to be worn by the firstborn sons of the family so they could continue the tradition of the Locust Brotherhood -- protecting runaways and the homeless from the threats the rest of the world can bring to those lost souls. Using her knowledge of modern-day technologies, Fernanda was able to actually improve on the armor and give it hydraulics and additional plating to increase her speed, durability, and strength.

Becoming known as the Locus, Fernanda worked alongside Viv Vision to bring down a child trafficker, leading an impressed Viv to nominate her to join the Champions as a full-time member. She's fought alongside the team ever since. However, she was one of two members of the team who was captured during the initial C.R.A.D.L.E. crackdown on the Champions, alongside Snowfall, when the Champions Command Center was discovered and brought down.

SNOWGUARD

Amka Aliyak was just an average Inuk teenager living in a small island off the coast of Canada when the Master of the World constructed a nearby facility. Draining the powers of the Inua spirit Sila in a bid to repair global warming, Amka broke in and released the spirit. Although she was fatally wounded in the process, Sila repaid her kindness by imbuing her with her energies -- restoring her health and even granting her powers.

Due to this enhancement, Amka was captured and used as a replacement battery for a time until the arrival of the Champions saw her released. She quickly joined the team and became a central member of it, befriending the other heroes and working with them to protect the world. Thanks to her powers, she can shapeshift into various animal forms with magical powers, even typically granting herself flight by growing a large pair of wings. Despite her sheer power, Snowguard was one of the heroes caught by surprise when C.R.A.D.L.E. captured the Champions Command Base, leading to her arrest alongside Locust.
