The following contains spoilers for Episode 11 of Chainsaw Man,"MISSION START," now streaming on Crunchyroll.

One of the most interesting aspects of Chainsaw Man is how Makima is reshaping the Public Safety Unit following an attack on her Japanese agents. She brings in a new Division 4 mentor in Kishibe, who's teaching Denji and Power to be more savage, supplementing their ranks with Hayakawa and the timid Kobeni surviving the onslaught.

This leads to a brutal case of reprisal in Episode 11, as Makima's team finds the perpetrators at a hotel. However, Kishibe warns nearby cops not to intervene because this isn't business, it's personal, and these superhuman soldiers under his watch will cause a lot of damage. In the process, fans are privy to Chainsaw Man's take on the Suicide Squad, as Kishibe admits he's got a unit of killers who need to carry out Makima's vision -- or else.

The Shark Fiend Maims

The Angel Devil kills zombies in Chainsaw Man

The Shark Fiend is sent to the sublevel by Kishibe, phasing through walls and floors while swimming as if it's an ocean. This nods to how Amanda Waller uses her Task Force X soldiers, like Harley Quinn and Deadshot, with Kishibe hinting that if they don't finish the mission, they'll be killed.

This person has a shark head and begins eating zombies that the sinister Samurai Sword and Sawatari have as bodyguards, making it clear he enjoys the meal. Honestly, it feels like an homage to DC's King Shark -- but with Chainsaw Man's Shark being more jovial.

The Violence Fiend Crushes

Shark almost bites the Violence Fiend, who lashes him away in a case of mistaken identity. It turns out, this hooded person has the power to smash zombie heads at will. He punches through a ton of bodies in gory manner, with Kishibe confirming that, unlike other devils who get weaker when using a human host body, Violence gets stronger. He also emits poisonous gas -- ergo his gas mask -- which is done to keep his strength in check.

The Spider Devil Is Majestic

As Denji uses his ax and Hayakawa his sword to gut the undead, the Spider Devil is revealed. She has the image of a pale woman, but she then reveals a plethora of scythe-like legs. She's quite scary, coming off like something from the Resident Evil franchise as she impales a ton of zombies. Spider's found leaping around quickly, moving at lightning-fast speed as she minces the opposition, teasing this demon might be the most powerful in the batch.

The Angel Devil Is Mysterious

Last but not least, Hayakawa finds the halo-bearing Angel Devil eating a zombie head. He quickly shields a teammate from a bullet before slicing the attacker up. Hayakawa then has Angel remove the corpse, with the latter being all too keen -- hinting this Devil is a pacifist.

However, anyone who touches the Angel Devil has their lifespan immediately reduced. Hayakawa notes, though, that if there's material in between breaking contact -- like the handkerchief he hands him -- the effects are nullified, leaving Chainsaw Man fans wondering what other mysterious elements exist.
