CBS's "Supergirl" to Introduce a Young Superman

Following a few shadowy cameo appearances, CBS's "Supergirl" is at last ready to introduce the Man of Steel. Wait, make that Boy of Steel.

According to TVLine, the drama's producers are seeking to cast a 13-year-old with "future leading man looks" for the role of Kara's cousin Kal-El. He'll apparently appear in a series of flashbacks in the 13th episode of the season that will establish their familial bond.

The website indicates teen Kal-El is a "potentially recurring role," which suggests those flashbacks could become a regular feature of the DC Comics show.

Starring Melissa Benoist, "Supergirl" airs Mondays at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
