Unless you happened to be at WonderCon over the weekend, the most you've seen of CBS's Under the Dome is that 14-second trailer featuring an animated version of the Stephen King book cover, essentially. But now, on the heels of a panel that included writer Brian K. Vaughan, director Jack Bender, showrunner Neal Baer and cast members Dean Norris and Rachelle Lefevre, CBS has something to show you.
Above you can see the very first actual video from the sci-fi thriller, about a town mysteriously encapsulated in an invisible barrier and the trials and tribulations that come about from that. Highlights from the clip include King talking about the story and visual effects supervisor Stephan Fleet explaining how and why they decided to go with practical effects. At WonderCon, Vaughan explained that the 13 episodes will just be the tip of the iceberg and that there's plenty of more story to tell if they get picked up for a second season.
CBS's Under the Dome, which premieres June 24, stars Dean Norris, Mike Vogel, Rachelle Lefevre, Colin Ford and Britt Robertson.
