Rumors that CBS will join NBC, Fox and ABC to share their programming with Hulu have been appearing all over lately, but the truth may be more complicated than it seems…
Deadline Hollywood is reporting that, while CBS is apparently in talks with the online television and movie viewing site, it’s not for free content sharing; an unnamed source is quoted as saying that the network is only interested in “Hulu Plus,” and only if the revenue is deemed suitable. They’re not just talking to Hulu, either; apparently, discussions are also ongoing with Viacom and Time Warner for paid subscription services. Which leads me to the obvious question: How much would you be willing to pay for streaming television you can get for free on… well, television?
