You better break out your old Magnum P.I. DVD sets and give them a re-watch, because you might be in for some disappointment. CBS has released a first official look at its Magnum P.I. revival and, well, it doesn't exactly look like the old Tom Selleck version of the series. On the picture, we can see Jay Hernandez's Thomas Magnum, who is taking over the role from Selleck, as well as the character's signature red Ferrrari. What can't be seen however, his the trademark Hawaiian shirts, or the epic mustache -- signaling that this will be a more modern, grounded and hip take on the private eye series.RELATED: Fox Moves The Gifted, Holds Gotham’s Return Until Midseason

When a Magnum P.I. revival was first eyed on ABC, it was said to be a continuation of the 1980s series starring Magnum's daughter, who would pick up where her father had left off. However, it now appears as if CBS has opted for a more literal reboot, with Jay Hernandez as Thomas Magnum, Zachary Knighton as Rick Wright, Stephen Hill as TC Calvin and Perdita Weeks as Juliet Higgins.

No word yet on if Hernandez will grow a mustache throughout the first season, but he'll have to go about it for a while if he has any hopes of rivaling Selleck's.
