CBS Brewing Up 'Charmed' Reboot

CBS is looking to get into the witchcraft game, with Vulture reporting the network is developing a remake of supernatural drama Charmed.

According to the website, a pilot script has been ordered from Chris Keyser and Sydney Sidner, but that's as far along in the process as the project has gotten.

The original series, which aired from 1998 to 2006 on The WB, centered on three sisters, the powerful witches known as the Charmed Ones, who lived together and protected the innocent. It initially starred Shannen Doherty, Holly Marie Combs and Alyssa Milano, but with Doherty left after the third season, to be replaced by Rose McGowan as their long-lost half-sister. Charmed also featured Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco in its last season.

When UPN and WB combined to form The CW, Charmed was one of the shows left on the chopping block.
