CBR TV 2008: Mark Millar & Tony Harris, Part I

In support of their new and best-selling creator-owned Image Comics miniseries "War Heroes," superstar creators Mark Millar and Tony Harris undertook an exhaustive tour of the United States, stopping in Hollywood to meet with fans at Golden Apple Comics and sit down with CBR TV for an exclusive on-camera interview.

In this first of a two-part conversation that will continue this Thursday, Harris and Millar discuss with CBR Executive Producer Jonah Weiland the origins of "War Heroes" and its premise of a dystopian future where the American Empire has bankrupted itself, and World War III will be fought with super-powered G.I.s. The pair also talks about Tony Harris' obsessive knowledge of military hardware, Mark Millar's surprisingly excellent skills with a firearm, the numerous advantages of creating and promoting a creator-owned comic book, and the overwhelmingly positive experiences they've shared with fans while on the "War Heroes" tour.

In this supplemental feature, CBR Executive Producer Jonah Weiland talks to the dedicated fans of Mark Millar and Tony Harris, many of whom lined up well in advance of the Golden Apple signing just to get a chance to meet their favorite comics creators.
