WARNING: The following contains major spoilers for Catwoman: Hunted, now available for 4K UHD, Blu-ray and digital HD.

In the Batman lore, it's not often Catwoman/Selina Kyle strays from Bruce Wayne's path. Across decades of comics, cartoons, TV shows, movies and video games, once the Bat's in the picture, the Cat will sink her claws into him and only him. It's why DC pushed them as soulmates even more over the years, highlighted by them almost getting married.

While the Dark Knight isn't seen in Catwoman: Hunted, his influence is there as his haunting presence and overall career as a vigilante cast a shadow over Selina trying to steal a gem from Leviathan. However, Selina totally stunned fans as she ended up cheating on Bruce with someone from his inner circle.

Now, this animated movie didn't officially deem them a couple, but Selina was in love and had a romance with him; something Batwoman/Kate Kane mentioned when she, Julia Pennyworth and King Faraday arrested the Cat. They wanted her to work with Interpol on a special project, though: raiding Barbara Minerva's Leviathan base in Europe and taking it down.

The gem that the Cat stole -- the Cat's Eye -- had a tracker on it, which is why Kate botched the robbery, allowing the villains to take it back. Isolated in a plane the heroes seized from Penguin, Selina enlisted, made even sweeter by Kate promising they'd expunge her records and clear all her crimes if she helped them succeed.

It led to a sultry moment where Kate and Selina had an intimate conversation in the bathroom of all places. Kate was quite nervous, but Selina stripped down to go in the tub, getting up close and personal with Batwoman. She worked her feline charm provocatively, which wasn't surprising given the anime medium often pushed these envelopes, seducing Kate as she mentioned how she loves "steamy role-playing." As resistant as Kate was, a nude Selina took the vigilante's wig and mask off, eventually pressing her lips pretty close to Kate's and hinting she wanted to hook up.

Catwoman: Hunted had Selina Kyle cheating on Batman with Batwoman

A blushing Kate began stuttering and totally gave in, disarmed and ready to engage in a secret tryst. However, Selina stopped the encounter and jumped in the tub by herself, making it clear Kate could only watch. Selina admitted cats "bathed themselves," which pissed a flushed Kate off because she hated rejection.

She chided Selina and left with her bruised ego, only for the Cat to reveal she just needed to close the distance to steal Kate's phone and call Holly to ensure her stray girls were taken care of. Still, it was clear Cat was into her, and feelings existed as they partnered in a later battle. Ultimately, this tease played off Batwoman's LGBT identity in the books, but the fear of mixing business with pleasure and the possibility of Bruce finding out ended things abruptly in Catwoman: Hunted.

To see Catwoman and Batwoman's romantic interaction, Catwoman: Hunted is now available for 4K UHD, Blu-ray and digital HD.
