Catwoman has seen plenty of memorable portrayals across her 80-year history, but few are as memorable as Julie Newmar's iconic turn as the cat burglar in the 1960s Batman television series.

In a short story in next month's Catwoman 80th Anniversary 100-Page Super Spectacular #1, Jeff Parker and Jonathan Case have channeled Newmar's depiction of the fan-favorite DC character and television show's wacky, colorful style, with a preview from their short story below.

Newmar portrayed Catwoman in the first two seasons of the television series, with Lee Meriwether portraying the character in the 1966 spinoff film, followed by Eartha Kitt in the third season after Newmar had to bow out of both appearances due to scheduling conflicts.

Celebrating Catwoman's debut in 1940's Batman #1 by Bill Finger and Bob Kane, the upcoming prestige-format anniversary special contains short stories and original artwork from across the character's lengthy history as occasional villain, antihero and master thief within Gotham City.
