The third season of Netflix's Castlevania was stunning. Whether fans were drawn to the Netflix Original Anime Castlevania because of its ties to the game, its flashy action sequences, or the way it used the anime genre to expand on the story of Dracula, the third season was sure to hold their attention. Now, fans are left to wait for the fourth season to air on the popular streaming service to get their fix of Belnades and Belmont.

The producers behind the Castlevania anime are consistently able to wow viewers with great content. The list below makes a note of ten lingering questions that these producers should be considering while storyboarding season 4 of Netflix's Castlevania.

10 Is This The Last We've Seen From Vlad Tepes Dracula?

Dracula and Lisa hug in Hell Castlevania

The first two seasons of the Netflix Original Anime Castlevania set Dracula up as a sympathetic foil to Trevor Belmont, Alucard, and Sypha Belnades. After the climactic battle between these characters in the final episode of Season 2, Dracula left the land of the living to join his wife in the afterlife.

Season 3 centered its plot around a corrupt Prior working with a monster to bring Dracula back from the grave. Though viewers only got to see Dracula for a few seconds in Season 3, his appearance might hit at his eventual return in future seasons.

9 What Is Isaac's Plan?

Isaac _ Castlevania

Season 3 was tasked with organizing the scattered pieces throughout the world after Dracula, and his castle fell in Season 2. One of the pieces that fell the furthest was Dracula's most trustworthy friend, Isaac.

The Forgemaster begins the season alone. When he wakes up after being thrown through Dracula's transmission mirror, he finds himself abandoned in the middle of the desert with no power. Throughout the rest of season 3, Isaac learns to sympathize with humanity and builds an army of night creatures. What he plans to do with these night creatures is still a mystery, though.

8 Will Hector Ever Learn?

Hector, Castlevania

The creators of Castlevania seem to enjoy torturing Hector. The Forgemaster is privy to a powerful set of magical skills that every vampire seems to need to rule over humanity. Still, Hector seems to forget that there are those in the world who will lie to take advantage of his power. For three seasons, viewers have had to watch as Hector has his freedom stolen from him. At this point, everyone must be wondering if the little pup will ever learn.

7 Is There A Counter To A Devil Forgemaster's Magic?

Castlevania Dracula's Generals Isaac and Hector

A devil forge master is a human mage capable of bringing life back into a human corpse. The life they bring is not the romantic kind that sits in Parisian cafes and plans family vacations with their kids. The life they bring is monstrous, powerful, and most importantly, it is under the control of the forge master.

Isaac's adventures throughout season 3 hinted at a way for the hordes of night creatures to be defeated, but it is still unclear whether there is an efficient way to stop the hordes. For three seasons now, humanity has been the victim of the night hordes, and still, there seems to be no way to defeat them besides eliminating the creatures one by one.

6 Who Is Count Saint Germain?

Castlevania Saint Germain smirking and holding a cane

One of the best new characters introduced in season 3 is Count Saint Germain due to his character design. The traveling scholar/alchemist/magician that wears an hourglass around his neck is more than willing to fill every room he enters with his voice.

Still, viewers will leave season 3 with little to no information about Saint Germain's true intentions. The Count seems to be a trustworthy character, but the way he uses his eccentricity to distract from his true intentions is suspicious.

5 What Are The Other Speakers Up To?

Sypha cating a spell, a glowing ring around her face

When Viewers are reintroduced to Belnades and Belmont's team at the start of Season 3, they are planning to part ways after Sypha is reunited with her Speaker brethren. This objective is quickly interrupted when the pair stumble into a town attempting to bring Vlad Tepes Dracula back to life.

Viewers may still be curious about the Speakers, though. The first season introduced the speakers as one of the only trustworthy human organizations in this world. For humanity to stop the Council of Sisters in future seasons, they may need the Speakers' help.

4 Who Will Rise To Stop The Council Of Sisters?

Morana, Lenore Carmilla, Striga, Castlevania

The third season of Castlevania takes Carmilla back to her castle, where the Council of Sisters resides. The council consists of four vampire women that work together to rule over the land of Styria. Striga, Morana, Lenore, and Carmilla are all uniquely powerful, making the council a true force to be reckoned with.

After watching Trevor, Sypha, and Alucard struggle to defeat Dracula in the first two seasons, viewers may be wondering how they will manage to stand against a quartet of powerful vampires. Unless the three are reunited, or another powerful character is introduced in season four that can help them, it is hard to imagine how they will overcome the Council of Sisters.

3 Is Alucard Evil, Crazy, Or Confused?

Alucard Flight _ Castlevania _ Season 3

Fans of Castlevania know that Alucard's mixed genes make him look much older than he actually is. Though his real age is unknown, he cannot be much older than a teenager in the most recent seasons. Perhaps this is enough to explain his actions in season 3, but fans may still be unsure of Alucard's intentions after planting spikes at the entrance of his castle-like his father before him. Hopefully, future seasons will allow us to dive deeper into Alucard's psychological struggles.

2 How Will Trevor And Sypha React To Alucard's Status As Anti-Hero?

Castlevania is American Anime

Season 3 of Castlevania set Alucard on a character arc that may have left some viewers feeling uncertain about the son of Dracula's sanity. The half-vampire half-human was a fan-favorite character for the first two seasons because of the innocent way he approached the problems in front of him.

When the duo of Belnades and Belmont make their way back to Dracula's castle to visit their old friend, they may be shocked to find that their friend has changed. Alucard may blame his actions on his youthfulness, but that may not be enough to win Sypha and Trevor back over to his side.

1 Where Are The Armies Of Men?

Sumi and Taka _ Castlevania _ Season 3

Most fantasy worlds are full of different species, and every so often, these species will go to war with each other. Though Elves and Dwarves are privy to abilities that humans are not, much like Vampires, the realms of man always manage to band together to compete with their mythical adversaries.

Castlevania's world of fantasy focuses on only two different species: humans and vampires. In this world, humans are so ignorant and disbanded that they cannot compete with the vampires in war. Now that Vlad Tepes Dracula has been removed from the fray. Perhaps humanity will have the courage once more to gather an army that can challenge the vampires.
