With the final season of Castlevania, the series does not hold back in terms of violence, blood and death. A lot of characters die this season, from unnamed Night Creatures to long time villains. Especially with Isaac, Trevor, Sypha and Alucard putting up incredible fights, a lot of these deaths are epic to say the least, and the following six are some of the best of the best.
Carmilla
Since Season 2, there has been bad blood between Carmilla and Isaac, as she was dead set against Dracula. That and her plan to rule over humanity make her a force that needs to be stopped, and Isaac accepts the challenge. With his Night Creatures at his side and Hector's runes imprisoning Carmilla, the two finally fight it out in Episode 6.
She's already gone into berserker mode against the other Night Creatures, but she still has the energy to fight Isaac. The Forgemaster and his creatures are able to land several impressive blows against Carmilla. However, she refuses to give him the satisfaction of winning, proclaiming, "I am Carmilla of Styria, and fuck you. I win," driving her sword into her chest. Her death causes a massive explosion, which she was likely hoping would've taken Isaac with her, but he lives.
Zamfir and Ratko
Trevor lives up to the hype behind the Belmont name, so when Ratko, a vampire plotting to resurrect Dracula, holds his own against him in Episode 8, it's clear he's a deadly foe. They go blade to blade, with Ratko cutting Trevor several times. Apparently Ratko has been humble about being one of the best vampire warriors for centuries, so he is no longer holding back.
Things do not look good for Trevor, with a mother and child pushing Ratko in an attempt to help. Completely defenseless, Ratko goes to kill them, but Zamfir uses her body to shield them. Having prioritized the royals over her own people, Zamfir's sacrifice highlights her growth, and she gets some amazing last words in, telling Ratko, "You are not the apocalypse. You are just a man, and my people will survive you." Ratko brushes this off because of his immortality, but Trevor delivers the final blow, reminding him that, "nobody is immortal."
The Kaiju Night Creature
Along with the traditional Night Creatures and vampires attacking Dracula's castle, there is a Night Creature that feels prehistoric and can shoot atomic blasts from its mouth, like a kaiju. It suffers a harsh blow from Alucard early on, as he sends his sword into the creature; however, this is not enough to kill him in Episode 8.
Episode 9, on the other hand, not only sees its demise, but it is also the first episode since Season 2 to have Alucard, Sypha and Trevor back together. When Alucard is outnumbered, Sypha and Trevor make an epic entrance, and the three demolish the vampires and Night Creature around them before taking on the big guy. It's a team effort, with Sypha using her magic to control one of its blasts while Alucard, in wolf form, runs up to the creature and knocks it hard on the head, giving Trevor the perfect chance to decapitate it. The creature has one last trick up its sleeve, causing a massive explosion, but that can't stop the trio.
The Vampire Guard
Prior to facing off against the final boss, Trevor, Sypha and Alucard most take on the last remaining vampire soldier, and it's clear why he's lasted this long. He easily waves away Sypha's flame with his sword, and even with all three heroes attacking him, he stands tall.
Eventually, the trio land a few decent blows, seriously injuring the vampire's arm enough that he rips it off and hurls it at Trevor, treating it like a grenade. The blowback discombobulates Trevor enough that Alucard has to catch him while Sypha takes an offensive stance, blasting the vampire -- who's now developed wings -- with a wall of fire. Alucard then steps in with his flaming sword to strike him in the chest, and Sypha gives him a boost of electricity, so Alucard can slice him in half.
The Rebis
While Lisa died in Season 1, and Dracula died in Season 2, St. Germain tries to bring them back, forcing them in a Rebis -- a vessel made up of other body parts. Being in a Rebis would cause both of them immense turmoil and pain, so much so that Death hopes it will drive Dracula to a breaking point so he would continue with his plan to wipe out humanity.
The Rebis does not put up much of a fight, but the potential destruction it could cause is terrifying. It must be stopped, and Trevor takes on this responsibility. He hurls a bag of holy water toward the Rebis and then slices it open with his sword, giving the weapon a boost against the supernatural being. It cuts through the Rebis like a buzz saw, killing the body, freeing the couple's souls and leading to a massive explosion, which sets the stage for the final battle.
Death
The final boss ultimately has one of the most epic deaths of Castlevania. Trevor realizes he needs to bring an end to Death, taking him on alone. Killing Death should be impossible, and surviving this seems unthinkable, but that doesn't stop Trevor, as he tells Death, "You and me, we're just killers out of history. It's time for us to go."
Death puts up a huge fight, even though he doesn't consider Trevor a danger, but he should've seen the threat Trevor posed. After striking Death several times with his flaming whip, he uses the chaos to get close to Death, plunging his magical dagger into Death's skull. He explodes, dying while Trevor remarkably survives the unsurvivable.
