The adventures of the Belmont clan and Dracula will continue.

Ahead of the release of Castlevania Season 2 later this year on Netflix, star Richard Armitage has confirmed he and the rest of the voice cast will soon begin work on the third season. Additionally, the actor, who voices demon hunter Trevor Belmont, told Digital Spy that the second season  will focus primarily on the relationship between Trevor and Adrian Tepes, aka Dracula's son Alucard.

Castlevania's first season premiered last year on the streaming service to praise from critics and fans, although it was dinged for releasing just four episodes. The eight-episode second season picks up where the the first ended, with Belmont allying himself with both Alucard and Sypha Belnades to bring an end to Dracula's reign of terror on the people of Wallachia. The series earned popularity not only for its faithfulness to the video games, but for having acclaimed comic book writer Warren Ellis writing and producing.

Arriving later this year on Netflix, the second season of Castlevania stars Richard Armitage, James Callis, Matt Frewer, Graham McTavish, Alejandra Reynoso, and Tony Amendola.
