Cassaday, Ney Rieber to take on Marvel Knights Captain America in 2002

[Captain America]Rumours have swirled for months about who'd be taking over the creative chores on Captain America once the title moves to the Marvel Knights imprint in 2002. CBR News was told during Comic-Con International at San Diego two weeks ago an official announcement would be made during Wizard World: Chicago. The worst kept secret in the industry is John Cassaday ("Planetary") will be handling the art chores on the title, but confirmation from Marvel could not be obtained.

Earlier today CBR News received the image you see on your left. It's a photo of an advertisement which was included in the promo catalog for this month's Canadian National Comic Expo to be help August 24th - 26h in Toronto, Canada, which reveals the creative team for the title. The advertisement features the words "Marvel 2001" along the side with the title "Captain America - The New Deal," plus a stirring picture of Captain America. Under the name can be made out two well known creators, John Ney Rieber, best known as the writer on DC/Vertigo's "Books of Magic" and the afore mentioned John Cassaday. And below that can be found the caption "Marvel Knights 2002."
