Vampire anime The Case Study of Vanitas has confirmed that it will continue as part of 2022's winter anime season.The anime's official Twitter account announced that part two of the show will premiere sometime during January 2022. The tweet also stated that veteran voice actor Rie Kugimiya (Fire Force, Banished from the Hero's Party) will join the cast in Part 2 as Chloe, a new character that was briefly introduced during finale for the first part of the series.RELATED: The Case Study of Vanitas: The Importance of Bloodsucking

The original manga series of the same name was created by Jun Mochizuki and was first published in Square Enix's shonen magazine Monthly Gangan Joker in December 2015. The anime adaptation premiered in July 2021. The show is produced by animation studio Bones (SK8 the Infinity, My Hero Academia) with Tomoyuki Itamura (Owarimonogatari) serving as its director, Deko Akao overseeing scripts (Komi Can't Communicate, Zoids Wild) and Yuki Kajiura (Sword Art Online: Alicization) composing the music.

The cast for The Case Study of Vanitas includes several veteran voice actors like Natsuki Hanae (Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans, Dragon Ball Super), Kaito Ishikawa (Tokyo Ravens, My Hero Academia), Inori Minase (Lupin the Third Part 5) and Shino Shimoji (The World's Finest Assassin Gets Reincarnated in Another World as an Aristocrat, Rumble Garanndoll).

The first part of The Case Study of Vanitas can be streamed on Funimation and Hulu.
