Marvel has announced another cast member for their upcoming Netflix series, "A.K.A. Jessica Jones": "Matrix" trilogy veteran Carrie-Anne Moss. Unlike previous cast additions David Tennant and Rachael Taylor, no character name was given for Moss' character in the official announcement. The Wrap, however, has reported that Moss' character goes by the name Harper.

The announcement does offer up a little bit of information about Moss' role, calling her character "a no-nonsense woman who could prove a powerful ally to Jessica... if Jessica doesn't completely alienate her first."

Moss joins a cast that includes Krysten Ritter as series lead Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage, David Tennant as Kilgrave and Rachael Taylor as Trish Walker. The 13-episode series will premiere sometime this year on Netflix, following "Daredevil's" debut in April.

Best known for playing Trinity in the blockbuster "Matrix" trilogy, this part in "A.K.A. Jessica Jones" marks Moss' return to the small screen following guest appearances on series like "Crossing Lines," "Vegas" and "Chuck."

"Carrie-Anne has proven her ability to play complex characters with deep and layered inner lives," said Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer/Marvel's Head of Television. "Her interaction with Jessica Jones will be one of the many highlights of the series."
