Despite donning Imperial garb along with his trademark villainous sneer in the "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" trailer, actor Ben Mendelsohn refused to admit even the scantest of details regarding his character in the upcoming "Star Wars" prequel during an interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" last week.

"Do you use the Force in the movie?" Kimmel first asked, to which Mendelsohn responded with a pained whimper, as if director Gareth Edwards waited just off screen with a blaster aimed at his head.

"Will these kids that you see on the street want your action figure, or will they want to melt your action figures?" Kimmel then tried, prompting a similarly sad sound from the Australian actor. Fans can check out these and other equally vague responses in the video below.

Details trickled in recently that the "Bloodlines" and "The Dark Knight Rises" actor will be playing someone named Director Krennic, who appears to command at least a large portion of the Imperial Fleet in the time leading up to "A New Hope." Those eager for more info will have to wait until Gareth Edwards' "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story" opens on December 16.
