Captain Marvel's Kree & Skrulls Unite in New Movie Images

A new round of official images from Captain Marvel have been released online, this time showcasing the two extraterrestrial species at the core of the film's central conflict.

Ahead of its spotlight issue on the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Empire magazine released its newsstand cover for the issue, showing the eponymous superhero alongside the Kree Starforce commander Yon-Rogg (Jude Law) and Skrull leader Talos (Ben Mendelsohn).

Additionally, Empire released a pair of official stills showing the two alien species in action, including Yon-Rogg in battle with Rune Temte’s Kree warrior Bron-Char and Talos pondering his next move alongside a fellow Skrull.

The issue will be on sale on January 24, with subscribers receiving an exclusive cover by artist Doaly.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos, Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau, Algenis Perez Soto as Att-Lass, McKenna Grace as a young Carol Danvers and Annette Bening in an undisclosed role. The film arrives on March 8.
