Captain Marvel star Brie Larson dressed up as the iconic Nintendo character Samus Aran for Halloween, complete with platinum hair and the bright blue Zero Suit introduced in 2004's Metroid: Zero Mission.

When asked online if the Halloween costume would be the closest fans would get to seeing a live-action adaptation of the popular sci-fi video game series, the Academy Award-winning actor expressed her hopes that a film based off the property would one day get made with Larson's involvement.

Following the adventures of intergalactic bounty hunter Samus Aran, the Nintendo franchise began with 1986's Metroid with the series continuing across ten additional installments and the character appearing prominently in every entry of Nintendo's all-star fighting game series Super Smash Bros.

A planned live-action film based on the video game franchise had been optioned in 2003 with prolific Hong Kong filmmaker John Woo attached to the project before the cinematic rights reverted back to Nintendo in 2006.

In the meantime, fans can see Larson star as a completely different spacefaring hero in the MCU's Captain Marvel out on March 8, 2019.
