Larson will star and produce an untitled CIA drama series for Apple TV. The upcoming premium streaming service ordered the show straight to series following a bidding war with other outlets.

The series is expected to be an adaptation of the upcoming literary memoir Life Undercover: Coming of Age in the CIA. Written by undercover operative Amaryllis Fox, the book details her experiences working for the Central Intelligence Agency through the perspectives of her personal relationships. The book is scheduled to be published by Knopf on October 15.

Larson's project will be produced by Media Res with Megan Martin (Animal Kingdom) attached to develop the series and serve as an executive producer. Details on Apple's upcoming streaming service, including its official name, have yet to be officially announced but are expected to be shared with the general public at an event later this month, unveiling the planned launch of the tech company's foray into original entertainment.
