While Brie Larson is about to become the latest superhero to join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in this March's Captain Marvel, the Academy Award winning actor already has her sights on playing another MCU character: the Amazing Spider-Man.
In a cheeky training video posted on her Instagram account, Larson is seen in a gym's rock climbing wall, moving up across an arch before starting to climb down before she tumbles to the floor below.
Given Spider-Man's fate at the end of Avengers: Infinity War, the MCU may have an opening for a new friendly neighborhood wallcrawler.
Larson has previously jokingly teased portraying different fan-favorite characters before, posting images of herself as Nintendo's Metroid protagonist Samus Aran this past Halloween.
Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, and Ben Mendelsohn, Lashana Lynch, Algenis Perez Soto, McKenna Grace and Annette Bening in as-yet-undisclosed roles. The film arrives on March 8, 2019.
