With Captain Marvel's second trailer out, a fan has decided to give the first trailer a makeover.

YouTube user Dumb Drum released a homemade remake of the trailer in a low-budget style, or "sweded," featuring unknown actors reenacting sequences such as Carol Danvers crash landing into a Blockbuster location, driving with Nick Fury and suiting up in a hangar to pilot a jet in bad-to-the-bone Top Gun shades.

CGI animatics are also recreated with cardboard models and Lego figures. The fan trailer is the definition of a shot-for-shot. The end result is not just hilarity but a clever heartfelt tribute to Marvel superheroes and their creator. In the end, the video is dedicated to the late Stan Lee.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as the commander of Starforce, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minerva, and Ben Mendelsohn as Talos. The film will release on March 8, 2019.
