Captain Marvel Takes Out a Skrull Sniper in New Promo

A new TV spot for Captain Marvel includes previously unseen footage of the Marvel Cinematic Universe hero taking the fight directly to the Skrulls.

The clip shows an extraterrestrial sniper targeting Carol Danvers from a rooftop outside, only to get summarily blasted by the superhero's photon beams.

"How do you expect us to put the fate of the universe of one person?!"" an incredulous Nick Fury asks before he is soundly put in his place by Carol and her friend Maria Rambeau.

As Captain Marvel soars into Earth's orbit fighting the Skrulls for the planet's future, it's clear the fate of the universe is in safe hands.

Directed by Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck from a script they wrote with Liz Flahive, Carly Mensch, Meg LeFauve, Nicole Perlman and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, Captain Marvel stars Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury, Jude Law as Mar-Vell, Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Lee Pace as Ronan the Accuser, Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer, Gemma Chan as Minn-Erva, Ben Mendelsohn as Talos and Lashana Lynch as Maria Rambeau. The film arrives on March 8.
